Joint Statement on the 2026 Midterm Elections

← All news

Dear NDA Members,

As our nation approaches one of the most consequential elections of our lifetime, I join Dr. Leslie E. Grant, our Legislative Chair and 82nd President of the National Dental Association, in reminding every eligible member of the profound importance of exercising their fundamental right to vote.

The significance of this election cannot be overstated. The decisions made at the ballot box will help shape the direction of our nation for years to come, influencing healthcare, education, economic opportunity, civil rights, and the well-being of the communities we serve. The consequences of this moment will extend far beyond Election Day and will touch generations yet to come.

As Architects of Change, we understand that the future is not something we inherit. It is something we have a responsibility to help build and nurture.  If we neglect the consequences of not voting, we risk losing what we have gained. The evidence is all around us.

We honor our legacy by remembering the sacrifices of those who fought to secure our right to vote.

We rebuild with purpose by remaining informed, engaged, and committed to advancing opportunity, equity, and justice.

We lead with power by exercising our constitutional rights and participating in the democratic process that shapes our collective future.

This is a defining moment in our nation’s history. Regardless of political affiliation, our voices matter, our votes matter, and our participation matters.

On November 3, let us honor those who came before us, fulfill our responsibility to those who will follow, and remember:

Architects of Change do not witness history. We Help Shape It.

Your Voice. Your Vote. Our Legacy. Our Future. Vote.

In leadership and service,

Wallace J. Bellamy, DMD, FACD, FICD, FPFA
102nd President -National Dental Association (NDA)
