Announcement for Oral & Maxillofacial Radiology Faculty Position University of Maryland School of Dentistry
The University of Maryland School of Dentistry invites applications for a full-time fixed-term open rank position in the Department of Oncology and Diagnostic Sciences’ Division of Oral Radiology. The department has a strong pre-doctoral radiology curriculum, a commitment to continuing dental education, an active faculty practice and collaboration with the School of Dentistry clinics and departments. We are seeking a board certified, or board eligible, oral and maxillofacial radiologist who is an outstanding clinician, educator, scientist and communicator who will engage in didactic and clinical instruction for dental and graduate students as well as in research activity. The successful candidate should be eligible for Maryland state licensure and will be expected to participate in the department’s very active intramural and extramural radiology faculty practice. Rank and salary will be determined by applicant’s qualifications and experience.

This is an open rank position (tenure track or non-tenure track) with the following requirements:
Educational: A Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS), Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) or equivalent degree, advanced education in oral and maxillofacial radiology, American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology certification or eligibility
Qualifications and experience: Excellent oral and written communication skills, and commitment to diversity, inclusivity and collegiality required. A record of scholarly achievement (required for tenured/tenure track position) and experience teaching and mentoring students preferred.
