Columbia University College of Dental Medicine (CDM) invites applications for a full-time faculty position as Director of the Predoctoral Endodontics Program, assistant/associate professor rank, within the Division of Endodontics, Section of Cardiology and Restorative Sciences. Academic rank and salary are commensurate with education, experience, and qualifications. The position is available immediately. The Search Committee at the College of Dental Medicine is particularly interested in candidates who, through their research, teaching, and/or service, will contribute to the diversity and excellence of the academic community.
The selected individual will have primary responsibilities as the Director of the Predoctoral Endodontics Program, which will include preclinical and clinical education and training as well as clinical supervision of patient care. Expectations will include good working relations with students and faculty, participation in academic activities, and scholarly activities leading to future development and promotion. The possibility exists for the position to be either tenure track or clinical track. There is an opportunity for participation in the CDM faculty practice.
Candidates must (1) possess a DDS or DMD degree from a Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA)-recognized institution, (2) have a certificate or other advanced degree in endodontics from a CODA-accredited institution or an equivalent foreign institution, and (3) be eligible for licensure in the State of New York. Candidates with research qualifications and/or diplomate status by the American Board of Endodontics are preferred. Applications will be accepted until the position is filled.
