Faculty Positions–Open Rank
The Columbia University College of Dental Medicine invites applications for full-time faculty positions, available immediately. We are seeking dentists with specialty training who are interested in practicing in an academic setting. The successful candidates will work with other renowned clinicians to deliver premier dental care in our patient centered, comprehensive care faculty practice facilities and teaching clinics. Specialty training in dental public health, adult dentistry, endodontics, oral and maxillofacial pathology, oral and maxillofacial radiology, oral and maxillofacial surgery, orthodontics, periodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry is of particular interest.
Academic rank and salary are commensurate with education, experience, and qualifications.
Responsibilities will include (1) general dentistry patient care, (2) supervision of patient care in the predoctoral and postdoctoral clinics, (3) didactic assignments (seminars, group-based instruction), (4) student mentoring, and (5) research and scholarly activity.
The Search Committee at the College of Dental Medicine is particularly interested in candidates who, through their research, teaching, and/or service, will contribute to the diversity and excellence of the academic community.
D.M.D. or D.D.S. degree, ability to obtain New York State dental license required. Specialty board certification preferred, but not required.
Experience in teaching, research, service, patient care, and academic management preferred. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills strongly preferred.
